3 views of the Inn at Port Hadlock. It has a great outdoor space for weddings, 2 conference rooms for receptions, a very good restaurant with catering and room for all the guests to stay. The full package. The Inn started out as a wood alcohol plant owned, in part, by Ansel Adams' father.

Angel  Acres

This is one of my favorites for outdoor weddings in the Port Angeles area. Nicely landscaped, unpretentious, remodeled barn for reception activities.

Eligible bachelor. Or maybe not.

The kids are looking at the pot belly pigs. They had a population explosion of free running rabbits until the coyotes, foxes, eagles, hawks, cougars, and bobcats discovered them. Maybe if you discover you're a free supper keep your head down & be inconspicuous.

At Jessica & Adam's wedding it was bright & sunny so we did the portrait photography in the shade of this magnificent maple.

OK, a standard photo request, the groom's guys pick up the bride. I think this is to show that she actually trusts his taste in friends. Of course, she was a bit worried about the proximity to fresh water, the trustworthiness of his friends, but then, the photographer (That would be me.) thought this was way too easy and suggested to the trusted guys that they might consider all going to the left. But because "left" was subject to interpretation they didn't all agree as to which direction "left" actually was in this particular circumstance. And that was the picture I was after.

John Wayne used to keep his boat in Sequim Bay in the summers. He bought the land & later donated it for the marina.

Kalaloch wedding site. Yes, he's sweeping the beach.

Their wedding was on the beach, their reception was in a big tent. Word is the lodge is to be moved because the bank is eroding. Still this is one of the best places for a wedding I know. Good restaurant, room for everybody to stay. Besides, it's on the coast, with great beaches in both directions.

Of course there are other fine places on the Olympic peninsula, such as, Fort Warden in Port Townsend, the Bay Club in Port Ludlow, Lake Quinault Lodge, Rialto & Ruby beach, etc. I'll work on that as time permits.
